Faisal Shahzad pleaded guilty on Monday to placing a car bomb in Times Square in New York.
There were 10 charges against Shahzad. He pleaded guilty to all of them. He could go to prison for life.
Shahzad was born in Pakistan. He became a U.S. citizen. He had gone back to Pakistan to learn to use explosives, he admitted. A terrorist group trained him.
In May, Shahzad bought a white van, put explosives in it, and left it in Times Square. He tried to set off the bomb from a distance. People noticed, and the bomb never went off.
Shahzad was arrested at John F. Kennedy Airport on May 3rd. He had gotten onto a flight to Dubai.
