A plane that failed to answer communications was intercepted (met) by two F-16s from the Air National Guard near Muncie, Indiana, on Wednesday morning.
It left Grand Rapids, Michigan, after maintenance. Then it lost contact with air traffic controllers. When the F-16s met the plane, its pilot did not answer them either.
The latest word is that the F-16’s were leading the plane – and the North American Aerospace Defense Command does not think it has anything to do with terrorism.Source
